Masala Dosa

A thin, crispy golden crepe filled with spiced potato masala – South India's gift to the world of breakfast.

🧾 Ingredients

2 cups rice, soaked
½ cup urad dal, soaked
½ tsp fenugreek seeds
Salt to taste
4 potatoes, boiled & mashed
1 onion, sliced
1 tsp mustard seeds
10 curry leaves
2 green chillies
½ tsp turmeric
Oil / ghee for cooking

👨‍🍳 Instructions

Grind soaked rice, urad dal and fenugreek into a smooth batter. Ferment overnight.

Prepare filling: splutter mustard seeds, add curry leaves, onions, chillies. Add turmeric and mashed potatoes.

Heat a flat pan (tawa), pour a ladle of batter, spread in a circular motion.

Drizzle oil around edges. Cook until golden and crispy.

Place potato filling in the center, fold and serve with coconut chutney and sambar.
