Palak Paneer

Soft paneer cubes in a rich, creamy spinach gravy – one of India's most iconic vegetarian dishes. Packed with iron and protein.
🧾 Ingredients
250g paneer, cubed
3 cups fresh spinach
1 large onion, chopped
2 tomatoes, chopped
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
2 green chillies
½ tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp garam masala
½ tsp turmeric
½ cup cream
2 tbsp butter or ghee
Salt to taste
👨🍳 Instructions

Blanch spinach in boiling water for 2 min, transfer to ice water, then blend into a smooth puree.

Lightly fry paneer cubes until golden. Set aside.

Heat butter, add cumin seeds. When they splutter, add onions and cook until golden.

Add ginger-garlic paste and green chillies, sauté 2 min.

Add tomatoes and cook until soft.

Add turmeric and garam masala, mix well.

Add spinach puree, cook 5-7 min on medium heat.

Stir in cream and salt. Add fried paneer, simmer 5 min.

Serve hot with a dollop of butter on top.
